A short term bullish trend is always a good bet at this time of year. Especially if you're looking at the futures market.

But note that NG Spot prices were down 1% to 1.7% today, so maybe the right answer to your question is also the most useless, which is "Traders are sending energy up today". How can the spot market go down and the imaginary market go up?

I'm willing to drop my prediction for spot ng prices to $3.05 because I know that the ng fee schedule consumers are subjected to this winter is based on nymex prices at the onset of the heating season (ie now), while the actual gas delivered will soon come from a glutted spot market. Just follow the ka-ching and everything makes sense. -g-
