Most civilized people would not call Elie Weisel a warmonger. He is a great humanitarian who has been honored throughout the political spectrum.

I do not have enough knowledge of Ashrawi's views and history so I have no opinion as to whether she should receive a peace prize. As a spokesman, she came across quite moderately on American TV. I don't believe that the mere fact of being a Palestinian should prevent the award.

This is where I differ from you. You seem to want to punish anyone who supports Israel's right to exist or who opposes the cowardly terrorist acts of Hamass and associates. That is why you are generally considered an extremist, not in the main stream of rationale thought and I say that respectfully.

TIME FOR HISTORICAL CONTEXT!!

They are first and foremost IMPERIAL COLONILIASTS on top of many other deviant attributes they posses. From their perspective Uncle Samstein can do the heavy lifting on the diplomatic and geo-political sphere—and that keeps the terrorist Zionists from being tried as war criminals in the Hague. That’s why Sharon had tried to eliminate the PA—he wants no legitimate political entity—especially one that is recognized as such by the international community. What is left if the PA is destroyed—assuming Fatah crumbles as well-- will be groups like Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the PFLP. Zionists don’t want any UN involvement today or be part of any political process. The reasoning from their point of view is very simple, they believe whatever they can get at the end of any political process would be much less than what they can achieve by brute force. Basically, they have the desire to eliminate all non-Jews from Palestine and the might to do it AND THEY HAVE BEEN ON THIS TRACK FOR OVER 100 YEARS. Oslo came after a 7 year intifada. In order to undertand why Zionists agreed to enter into a political process then, you have to understand a bit about military strategy. Back then, the intifada was a non-violent uprising. Zionists military strategists concluded that Israel cannot win this struggle against the rebellious natives because no matter what Israel did then, it will be perceived as the big bully and the political damage being done to Israel cannot be sustained. In the first intifada, Palestinians protested by going on strike, marching and throwing rocks at these demonic zio-occupiers. Palestinian strength was their weakness going against a super power that most people started to loath. The underdog psychology was a big factor why Palestinians were gaining world sympathy. Zionists saw that trend and then devised a plan—a military plan—which that idiot Arafat took the bait in signing Oslo. He thought it was a political breakthrough and a change in how Zionists will approach this conflict. That was not the case, Zionists were more than happy to arm the Palestinians because they wanted to strip away their underdog status from the eyes of the world community so they can ACCOMPLISH MILITARILY WHAT THEY HAD always wanted to do and that is eliminate them or drive them out. They funded Hamas and now we learn even the Clinton administration provided funds to Hamas and were encouraging them to attack. Under Oslo, Zionist only were up to their old tricks. They created a political entity called the PA and armed them so they can achieve their military goals. They couldn’t achieve a military victory against kids throwing stones or people going on strike, so they changed the makeup of the conflict. Rather than a brute army chasing down kids, now they have their bogey man in these “suicide attacks” and so called “terrorism”. When it came time for Barak to deal with the last outstanding issues, like settlements, boundaries, Jerusalem, and refugees as mandated under Oslo, the veil on Zionist intention was lifted. They had to provoke a confrontation and Sharon did just that when he entered the Al-Aqsa mosque with his filthy goon squad. Many Palestinians who opposed Oslo, including Edward Said, were only too aware of Zionist schemes, but that idiot Arafat took this suicidal path on his own without getting advise from anyone(remember it came suddenly and negotiations were secret).

Having said all of that, I’m happy to say this scheme will fail. The monster they created in groups like Hamas and Islamic Jihad will be their worst nightmare come true. There is a certain dynamic, called the force of history of what have you, but clearly Zionists are walking a tightrope that has only gotten tighter. Their demise is certain and I could point to countless positive trends, but I will save that for later:)
