Needham's analyst states, "the Music Store doesn't represent a major income opportunity for Apple". The company believes the service is a "trojan horse" to incite interest in the company's iPod music player. There is a big reason I've never owned Apple They seem to be trying to give away the blades and make money selling razors... They will be competing with Sony and several dozen startups and PALM type companies if they develop a market. Hell, Dell will probably contract out the dPOD (DellPod) to India for software and China for assembly...
