RR,

Things couldn't be better for me.

Re: Gray Davis, he was held in low esteem even by those in his own party that had to work with him. His Democrat attorney general, Bill Lockyer, once publicly commented that he couldn't get an appointment to see the Governor unless he brought his checkbook. He also publicly warned Davis not to resort to "puke politics" in the recall like he had in past elections. Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamonte (who finished 2nd in the post-recall race for Governor) and Davis purportedly haven't spoken for the last couple of years after having a falling out, after which Davis stripped Bustamonte of his parking space at the state capital. True story (about the parking space, at least).

Hope all is well with you.
