On a serious note, that Holmer Gold vein is narrow, which is what they mine in that area. The vein comes right to surface and when they drilled it in 1997 they were planning a small open pit. There are two vein structures found near each other. The widths for the most part are fairly good for underground mining, and the grade is higher than the historic camp grades mined up until now. The veins do go to depth, and are vertical, or nearly so, which provides for easy mining and good tonnage potential. Based on the drilling and grades to date, and the agressive program of Lakeshore gold, it is likely some mine planning and underground work will be done by the fall of 2004, or earlier. Don't forget there are two mines in that area developed to the Southwest of Timmins.

It is an outside possibiity that 7 mines will be operational in the Timmins camp within 2 to 3 years time if gold and the market co-operate. St. Andrews Goldfields, Yonge Davidson, Detour, and perhaps Younge Shannon, are four. I do not wish to discuss the others at this time. There are perhaps 4 operations in the Matheson camp to the east 50 miles, that also have possibilities.

The people in Holmer worked on several mines in Ontario in the past 25 years. Goldlund and Renabie were two. They are real. They had a bit of a setback in Cuba a few years ago, and when the mining market tanked, so did their Timmins drilling program, but they are real operators. This is not promotion but a real stab at ore development. To actually see this kind of thing in a junior is rare. Usually it is senior or "off street" money which attempts the mine starts in Canada.
