Hello EP, <<… jumping lately>>

… Everything traded in HK that has to do with China is jumping lately; precisely 2 weeks after I sold all my HK-traded China shares. I am guessing that I left 10-20% on the table. Even so, the shares are still inexpensive, especially compared to Nasdaq and emerging market shares elsewhere. I will stay out until after October, and see what anticipated SARS and/or imagined US market wobble can do to HK-traded China shares. Should nothing happen, I will have to scramble double quick and get in, to the extent 3% gross asset allocation, and be prepared for another 6% allocation by and by.

<<Any opinions on YZC, the Coal company ?>>

… coal is an important fuel, prices had been rising in the past 24 months due to closure of small mines (safety reasons), YZC is one of the largest, and so it should do OK even when the smaller mines professionalize and get back on stream. I have YZC (HK version) on my watch list achamchen.com

<<nickle and a copper stock yet ?>>

… yes, I have WMC ( wmc.com ), uk.finance.yahoo.com in Australia, which is also traded in the US. I am watching N and PD, waiting for a wobble.

Chugs, Jay
