NCBI LinkOut

www3.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

From the blurb:

Free LinkOut Journals by Title

This is a list of PubMed Journals that provide some freely available full text articles.

NOTE: This list does not contain links to all free full text articles available on the web. It only contains those that are supplied by current LinkOut providers. Any provider who wishes to supply NCBI with free full text links, please contact linkout@ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

While NCBI makes every effort to ensure proper functioning of links, some of them may still be problematic due to situations beyond our control. Please report problems so that we can have them corrected as soon as possible.

Journals are sorted by title (journal abbreviation), provider name (provider abbreviation) and years of free full text availability. A list sorted by journal provider is also available.

Click on the links for a journal by year to search PubMed for free full text articles for the year and journal selected. For some journals, links to free full text are supplied by more than one provider. These journals are listed under more than one provider name.

Full text providers continue to update their free full text links, therefore the list of journals may change frequently.

As of October 11, 2003, a total of 95 providers supply free full text for 396 journals.

PLoS...Perhaps not so much biotechnology here, but it may well be worth keeping an eye on.

Actually, it looks as though there'll be quite a lot (eg DeCode published their latest gene find there). Fantastic idea, which should shake up the existing journals (and maybe even kill some of them).
