Bush should have a Special Prosecutor appointed to take the air out of the Dems sails. If the Prosecutor finds a possible crime, Bush looks squeaky clean because he had the affair taken out of the DOJ's hands. If there is no prosecutable offense, the Dems will have to live with the independent Prosecutor's finding.

Hardly a panacea. What Special Prosecutors do best of all, is make more work for themselves. We wouldn't have heard a conclusion for years.

I am more puzzled as to why Wilson's financial connections to the highest levels of the Saudi Royal family through Rock Creek have not been developed.

My guess is because of the Bush family business ties to SA.

Don Williams' research is a direct crib from mine, first posted on Free Republic 10/1/03 at 5:35 p.m. EST.

I have no idea how he got his post date-stamped before mine, but I do know I spent hours on the research, using Lexis-Nexis as well as google, and it kept crashing right before I posted it, so finally I re-did it into a Word file, first saved 4:35 EST.

Huh. I see Don Williams got banned from the site for "Likud Neocons." That's carrying conspiranoia a mite too far, I agree. But I have no problem at all with feeling paranoid about the Saudis.
