Make that 2001 for my first lot of MAXF - but hey, what's ten years between friends? The problem with an IBD momentum-style approach and the 8% stop is most people never get to know a stock. They are buying a number that they hope goes up instead of a story with fundamentals they can learn from to buy the next successful stock. But just buying what's on a list obviates the need for thinking anyway. IBD serves a purpose in its own way - feeding the herd. As long as my long-term returns exceed what they tout for CANSLIM on the TV commercials, I won't lose sleep over not getting IBD daily.
