Wilson raised it 38%, Davis 40%. Then the economy fell off a cliff and Davis got hit by the energy scamsters. Stands to reason there would be a large deficit, but Davis acknowledges making some mistakes and letting it go too far. No doubt he should have slashed spending earlier, just like GW Bush should. Bush also needs to rescind his tax cuts for the rich to pay for this expensive war of his. But of course he refuses to.
