He claims he has a mandate. Yet got less than 50% of the vote. How many Democrats have gotten more than 50 percent of the vote in a Presidential election since 1880? The answer is three. One of them (Carter) got 50.1 percent of the vote. So I guess all of those other Democrat Presidents lacked a mandate? (Kennedy, Clinton, Truman, Wilson) I agree that the jury is still out on Arnold. At the outset he was not my favorite candidate in the recall circus, but his celebrity could work in favor of his ability to get things accomplished that badly need to be done.
