Limbaugh told his audience: "I want you to know something. I'm not making any excuses and I don't intend to. You know, over the years athletes, celebrities have emerged from these treatment centers and come out to great fanfare and praise for conquering great demons. They are said to be great role models and examples for others. They've gotten a lot of praise for doing this. "Well, I want you to know that I'm no role model. And I refuse to let anybody think that I'm doing something heroic here - I'm doing something great here - when there are people you've never heard of, people you never hear about, people that aren't very well off - they face long odds every day.
