The last person who tried deficit spending plus tax cuts was Ronald Reagan. I seem to recall that after a few years of that system and some adjustments that the economy did pretty well.

That having been said, I do think that Bush would be well advised to pay more attention to fiscal restraint. I think that both Republicans and Democrats make mistakes and govern in ways that can be improved. The big difference between Bush and Davis is that Bush seeks to make the business climate more favorable for the private sector, which is where jobs and economic growth come from. Davis seemed to view the private sector as a target.

Any so called "Senator" that belittles another American for his addiction should be run out of office. Kerry, in his bid for a cheap laugh, made a joke of Limbaugh's pain killer addiction, and it will be the joke that killed his chances at the Presidency.

No so called "Senator" has the right to do that to an American and get away with it.
