Ish, It is reported to have been said by Jesus, that none of us are ready to know the ultimate truth. Even the smartest person in the world cannot handle the truth, what ever it may be. You are right that what anyone else believes is no more important, or accurate, than what you believe. We, simply, cannot know what will be at the appointed time of the death of our earthly body, but I do not believe that death on earth means the end of it all. IMO, there is something beyond our present earthly life, but no one can know for sure until they get there. What will be, will be, is the most we can know. There are no guarantees in the future, only hopes.
