He offered no excuses

I thought he handled it well. The sad thing is this drug, OxyContin, is horribly addictive and he'll be fighting it from now on, I imagine.

considering the only one who did well during my heavy trading days was my broker (on commissions).

Truer words never spoken. I can't tell you how many clients I've seen who were literally being "worked" by their brokers. And I would often point out to them that only the broker is making money off of those trades, just as you've said.

Ted, you're trying to get me to follow too many stocks. ;-) I'll look into IVAN, but that's about it.

I forgot that conservatives aren't as capable of multi tasking as liberals. LOL! Having said that, I've mentioned IVAN a couple of times prior to today.

I can no longer follow too many stocks as closely as I once did. And that might be a good thing, considering the only one who did well during my heavy trading days was my broker (on commissions).

This is no time to back off now that things are getting better.

Back to "druggies," I caught the tail end of Rush's show on the way to lunch, just in time to hear him admit his addiction first-hand. He offered no excuses, and he did not serve up any attacks on the liberal media regarding this. In a sense, his getting kicked off of ESPN followed immediately by the Enquirer story might have turned out to be a lifesaver for the guy. Better now than later when he's hit rock-bottom (where the extreme liberals want to see him anyway).

Call me an extreme liberal! <g>
