The government 'unemployment figures' you cite, only count the number of people who are receiving government checks - as I clearly pointed out - not the number of people looking for work, but unable to find it. There are also other systemic problems with the 'official' numbers... such as the fact that many people are counted twice as 'employed' if they hold two part-time jobs.

I think it's clear that I understand the figures with at least a passing familiarity... that seems to be somewhat in excess of your understanding of them. (Admittedly, a hard thing to judge, since you haven't posted any details at all that could give us the impression that you understand the American unemployment situation... only mindless insults.)

Since you clearly don't understand what the meaning of "is" unemployed is... perhaps you should go to the DoL's Web site and read the explanations yourself?
