No, what we do know is that Clinton wished to rid himself of all the ridiculous publicity all this generated. Not soon enough to avoid being disbarred. I suppose that if you were sued for sexual harrassment by one of your former students, you'd rather fork over several hundred thousand dollars out of your own pocket (insurance doesn't cover this) in order to avoid publicity - but that seems rather odd to me, given that the publicity for the case was already worldwide, and perhaps even being followed in outer space. Anyway, your loyalty to your Democratic leaders is noted.
