It is about as factual as one could ever find. You know, from the horse's mouth, etc.>>> 133 degreees average for 6 days- impossible to contemplate.112 with hunidity is the worst I've seen here locally in Texas. The UN wanted about 6 months more of inspections, which may have put our march to Baghad in those temps with overheated vehicles and men wearing body armor and protective suits. Nice planning, for a defeat, which no experienced US military planner could accept. It was primarily the weather that helped defeat the Germans in Russia, the coldest winter in history. Advantage Ruskies. People ask for an exit strategy for Iraq. There isnt one that can be scheduled. We will be around but far less visible militarily, until self-proclaimed warlords like Sadr are brought under control and disarmed. His type of religious preachings and armed rebellion represent the type of terrorism that will not be permitted to exist, and we stay to help the new Iraqi government eliminate the threat. It is not something to emphasize( that we will be around as long as it takes), but many Iraqis are beginning to recognize we did not come to harm or conquer. It also gives them something to bitch about instead of complaining about their new government. Which will occur soon enough. Will they have two main parties like we do? Like Republiraqs and Demoraqs. That should be fun, since here it a takes a Constitution and laws to prevent the two groups from using weapons on each other. ( Not perfect, as many of our Presidents get shot or shot-at) And its another reason the US will stay- to prevent such conflicts from getting out of control. Sig@muchprogessnow.com
