I agree with you that charging Stewart with obstruction because she said she was innocent is absurd.

After spending hours and hours reading about the Protestant Christian Right and wishing I could claw my eyes and brains out, I have to say that one thing I admire about Martha Stewart is that she was right on the basics.

Beautiful things, well made. Good food. Flowers. Fresh towels. Giving gifts to those we love. These are important.

The best people spend their lives making things, healing wounds, telling jokes, taking care of business, taking care of their family. Cultivating their gardens.

It would take me less than a day to read every word that Jesus said in the Bible. We don't need millions of words explaining what He meant. It's so simple, a child could explain it.

I expect that, when we're all called home, God will be happy to see Martha Stewart coming. She'll probably have a special cup of tea, just for Him. And she'll make Him smile.
