I think tribal-type tattoos can be very pretty.

That's the big thing on Waikiki Beach among the local surfers. They get a half back, arm and shoulder tattoo to match ones that were done here during the Stone age 300 years ago.

The wildest was a one on a local 19 year old I danced with last week. She had a huge butterfly tattoo covering her entire back. The wings were sticking up above the back of her top. But best "spinner" I have ever danced with.

Turns out that woad doesn't make good tattoos. So all the people who claim that the Picts and the Celts had woad tattoos are blowing smoke.

Yes, I remember you writing about that. The myth of the wild blue Pict. :)
