In 1959, 53% of the federal budget was spent on defense.

Defense spending is only about 20% of the federal
budget today.

The problem today is not inadequate taxation.
The problem today is not defense spending.

Clearly, the problem today IS fraudulent and out-of-control
spending on non-defense items.
