I can't really fault the Arnold story. It needed to be done, and was done well. Sooner? We will never know. And I think it was better to have it hit late. Mike Murphy did a faultless job for Arnold on it. I hope you didn't pass on reading the Matt Labash story because it was in the "Weekly Standard." He should get an award for it. Best "on the bus" story I have ever read.

They did miss the Davis temper tantrums. I think a mid-level Editor gave it a negative, and they decided to pass. From a PR standpoint, they would be in a much better position if they had reported on it one way or the other.

The LA Times has been really, really left. You wouldn't know being on the East Coast, but I read it for years. That is why Murphy was able to get everybody so angry.
