re: Has Limbaugh ever suggested we should "lock up" drug addicts?

Yes

I must have been absent that day.

maybe he will continue to be an agent that separates us, rather than brings us together.

I don't believe Limbaugh has done this. I believe the liberals have done this, single-handedly and with precision. James Carville and Paul Begala were instrumental in making the situation reach new all-time highs, but a new level was reached when Bush won the election, effectively preventing the Democrats from stealing a presidential election.

The liberals are so full of hatred and meanness today they can't even carry on a cogent conversation on the issues. It is all about power; the Dems will literally stop at NOTHING to acquire power. Fortunately, the American people are fed up with it. The arrogance of Dean, for example, plays well with the liberals but will be handily rejected by the American people.

I am going to take pleasure in watching Bush trounce the liberals next year. I believe the Democrat party has won its last presidential election. I can't wait till they run Hillary.

Maybe, maybe, he'll learn the definition of compassion. Maybe he will have an epiphany, and realize that 80% of folks are neither conservative or liberal, that we make up our minds on each, individual issue, and that most of us just want to get along with each other. That the "conservatives" and "liberals" are marketing a self serving agenda, that has nothing to do with a citizens personal reality.

John, do you really think that's true? I used to think that. I thought people in this country fell mostly in the center of the political spectrum. I am less inclined to believe that now. I also used to think that I was an independent but no longer. That's no longer true.

Maybe I was a political neophyte but the 2000 election was a wakeup call for me. It made me realize how badly conservatives want to win. It made me realize that their vision of this country is not what I was taught growing up. Events since then have reinforced those feelings. I wonder if we are coming to a time when neutral/independent will no longer be possible.
