Good points, he does have better connections and inside knowledge in regard to how the paper operates though.

He's also been documenting the gross LA Times biased reporting for a long time. That's one thing I believe you have to keep in mind when dealing with this Arnold groping issue. This wasn't one random event of biased reporting and attack dog journalism toward a Republican. The LA Times made a concerted effort to go after Arnold and they did.

That's pretty obvious to me.

The other things are pure conjecture and I doubt anyone knows with certainty whether they are true. The paper printed on page one single source charges, many from anonymous people. In order to believe the reports, you have to believe in the credibility of the paper. In other words, they should have built up a sound track record of unbiased, sound journalistic practices which had a lot of integrity associated with them. This is not the case with the LA Times.

Therefore, I simply don't believe the editors account of events is accurate. I think he is playing loose with the facts in order to cover his back-side with readers who have chosen to cancel the paper. It may work for some who want to believe in them. But I doubt most people will buy it. It was all just too artificially packaged. In the closing days of an election, page one charges are launched by the leading liberal newspaper against the leading Republican contender.

Even hollywood leftists won't buy into the argument it wasn't politically motivated.
