If N. Korea sells nukes to Syria, and Syria uses them, the U.S. will blame both Syria and N. Korea.

Turn it around. If Israel uses nukes against anyone, who are the victims and their friends going to blame? Up till now, we had a little fig leaf to hide behind, we could pretend we hadn't helped Israel. There was some (not much) daylight between ourselves and Israel. Now, there is none.

The U.S. Administration has now made explicit, what our policy is. We aren't in favor of nuclear non-proliferation. That has never been our policy. Our policy is to disarm our opponents, and arm ourselves and our allies with nuclear weapons and the means to deliver them.

Our policy is to dominate the planet, especially the MidEast, through violence, and the threat of further unlimited violence.
