Besides, if we impeached and convicted Bush, we'd just get Cheney, which would not be an improvement. And you can only get an impeachment, if a majority in the House don't like the President's politics. And an election is coming up.

The last time we punished a President for breaking the law, was Nixon. Since then, we've had Iran-Contra, Monica, and Iraqi WMD. We now have an Imperial Presidency, where the Leader is above the law. This is what happened to the Romans, during the transition from Republic to Empire.
