He also said that he was not making himself out to be a victim.

A telling portion of his on-air statement was when he said the following:

"I am not a role model".

You've got a terribly successful, wealthy individual, often accused of arrogance, making this statement. He need not have said it; he could have left it off altogether.

This statement, in my mind, is a clear acknowledgement that he feels he violated his own standards, much as happened with William Bennett. I'm not sure what else people can ask for. The question, at this point, is can he recover from the addiction. If he does, I think the radio show will receive new life.

The scumbags like Al Franken are going to attack Limbaugh on this no matter what. For them, it is just another political issue.
