I've probably read more Shadow Government stuff than many of the regular theorists here. I've also studied the JFK cover-up fairly extensively and the surprising history of the Bush family and its connections to Saudi and other Arab oil interests. So, I know there is much that has been hidden and not explained in our relatively recent history. I agree that all this stuff should be totally open to the public and that this nation will never achieve true greatness until it stops trying to cover up stuff, especially the VietNam War fiasco.

However, even with that as background, there is no way that 9/11 was anything other than what NORMAL logic says it was. It was open, notorious, on tv, visual, etc. It was preceded by similar lesser attacks by the same terrorists. OBL, his associates, his underlings, etc., etc., have all bragged about it. To deny this, is, as my facetious posts have indicated, to deny just about anything and support that denial, no matter how ridiculous, by internet blogs and sources of ill repute.

People that say OBL tapes are not him are just deluding themselves and harming the cause of finding the truth. Denying the money trail, the notes, the photos, the images, etc., etc., again is saying we live in the Matrix and takes away from finding the truth.

As a cynic of governmental activities, I actually think that the bizarro world theories espoused here hurt those who are seeking the truth about "shadow government" if that in fact exists and I'm not saying it doesn't in some form. The normal logical rationale thinker reads the type of stuff espoused here and lumps all conspiracy theorists into the "nut job" category, on a level below those who feel NASA did not go to the moon in the late 1960's.

This is all my opinion. You have the right to your opinions and I hope that you come to the truth. But, arguing off the wall theories actually hurts the cause of finding the truth.

A good read on the history of the CFR. Thanks! Anyone who doesn't think that there are very powerful/wealthy interests that "pull the strings" of our government from behind the scenes is deluding themselves.

All the way back to the Spanish/American War (possibly before), U.S. foreign policy has been influenced by these powerful forces. The "bombing" of the U.S Maine in Havanna harbor got us involved in the Spanish/American war (who planted that bomb, some CFR agent provoceture?). Propaganda was used to get the pacifist American people fired up about fighting WW1. FDR most likely knew the attack on Pearl Harbor was coming and "just let it happen" to get the people behind the WW2 effort. Korea? Don't know about that one, but I'm sure the Military Industrial Complex (MIC) was happy to see another hot war after their budgets had been cut by 80% after WW2.

Viet Nam, that one had the CFR written all over it. I believe President Kennedy was assisinated because the MIC were afraid that he'd pull us out of Viet Nam and stop their gravy train before it even got going. Also, JFK would have set a "bad precedent" of peace (he already set up the Peace Corps) and a government that actually cared about doing things domestically. A very dangerous idea to instill in the American people's minds. Peace and taking care of domestic needs does not fit into the CFR's plans for global domination and resource control. They need a big military and a population that is willing to fight for their objectives.

The CFR hated Jimmy Carter. He actually gave the Panama Canal back to Panama and wanted to promote things like human rights. They had Carter for lunch when the Iranian hostage crises emerged. It was no mistake what a big deal the U.S. media made out of that crises. Remember the days of counting and Nightline? Propaganda? And to ensure that their boy Reagan would win in November, they even cut a deal with the Iranians to make sure the hostages remained in captivity until Reagan was inaguarated (a very powerful piece of symbolism to start out the Reagan years).

The CFR loved Reagan. He gave them everything they wanted. A big military, military intervention to further their economic goals, no regard for human rights. Reagan was their man. The Gulf War in 1991 was a crucial moment for the CFR. It consolidated their control over the Mideast Oil. No doubt, our government knew Saddam Huessein's intentions to invade Kuwaitt. The satelite images showed Iraqi troops builidng up on the border and Saddam was threatening to invade. Saddam was allowed to invade Kuwait as a pretext to permantently station American troops in the Middle East.

Clinton was a minor threat to the CFR and their goals. Luckily for them, he was so scandal-ridden that it was hard for him to put his somewhat progressive agenda forward to the American people.

Now they have their boy George W. in office and what do you know? A major terrorist strike against the U.S. and another war against Iraq. Coincidence? Perhaps, but it was just what the CFR and MIC needed to further their goals of control of the world's oil and keep the American people thinking war, instead of peace. I mean, we have all sorts of peaceful domestic needs right here at home, but we're spending $87 Billion to rebuild Iraq?!? Why? Domestic spending would benefit mainly Democratic interests here in the U.S. big cities, unions, minority contractors, etc., people that the CFR and the Republican elites detest. Why bolster their competition? Why not spend the money in Iraq and send it straight to CFR/Republican connected interests like Haliburton, etc. It's so obvious how this game is played, that it's sickening.

Thanks for that! Grist for a lot of reading.

Footnoted research from whatever POV is vastly better than uninformed opinion seen everywhere in the media and this thread.

Events have reasons, overt, covert, coincidental or conspiratorial, or some combination. Paraphrasing Occom's Razor -- watch what happens, look for patterns of self-interest, and whatever remains no matter how improbable demands attention.
