No, Sid, there is no such thing as an "impartial analyst", to separate Good from Bad. Or, even if there was, there will never be agreement on who she is. Everyone will try to nominate, for that position, someone who thinks exactly like themselves. Looking for an "impartial analyst" is elitist and divisive.

And waiting until it is all dry dead distant history, that's useless. We need to make decisions now, crucial decisions that affect the future. Waiting, to separate Good from Bad, simply means somebody else makes the decisions.

The people who should be given the power to separate Good from Bad decisions, are the people affected. All of them. The electorate. All the foolish, uneducated, mute, distracted, scared sheep. Their decisions will be far wiser, and far fairer, than any "impartial analyst" you care to nominate. And their decisions should be expressed in real-time, or as close as possible to real-time. Any other solution is elitist, and leads to dictatorships perpetuated by violence.
