An individuals failure does not invalidate any idea or argument he has expressed. Unless that person explicitly lies about his own conduct.

"Rehabilitate and cure" is fine as long as you are
paying for it yourself (as Rush Limbaugh is) and
not getting a public handout.

I can accept the Libertarian position that there
should be no drug laws ONLY if there is
no public welfare for drug addicts either.

However, if drug addicts are going to be costing
me (the taxpayer) money, then I am in favor of drug
laws, even though I would personally prefer the
Libertarian solution.

Rush's fans were addicted to his BS. A lot of things in life are addicting, and not just drugs. It's heavily ironic Rush is a junkie. I could care less about him personally. He has made tens of millions by attacking and demonizing good people and ideas in this country and hurting our democratic process. His attacks on women, minorities, drug users, democrats, environmentalists etc. were vicious and inaccurate.

He had the right to speak his mind, but he went over the line too many times. Like many others of his ilk he even attacked our war heros, making him no better than a propaganda minister in a fascist opr communist state. He's no entertainer. He hides behind that. He's a demented right-wing extremist rabble-rouser. I say good riddance. The country is much better off without him.
