We're more socialist now than we were before WWII. All of the Western democracies are. And the post WWII period has been more prosperous and peaceful for all of us.

Aren't you willing to consider that it's at least possible that a relatively high tax society with relatively broad social programs (Pre WWII America compared to post WWII America) is actually a more successful model?

I mean the evidence really seems to support that.
