Prolife,

First, I thought your gender was female. So sister was meant as a title of respect, not the degradation that you assumed, ok brother?

As for the fox in the henhouse thread, I did not notice that it went back to February. I don't know who linked the thread back to a post then, but I wasn't going back looking for it, that's for sure. And you were in the forefront on the thread, and why were you threatening AS about it if it's old?

I do call the president a liar, but only because he lies. He continues to try to cover up his lies and half truths. If he'd come out straight and tell the American what is at the heart of his policies, we wouldn't need to call attention to his parsing words, and evading the real facts of the matter, now would we?

Orca

Stewart: Gray Davis Attacked, Destroyed TV

Syndicated columnist Jill Stewart blasted the Los Angeles Times for its coverage of Arnold Schwarzenegger and said the paper continues to cover up for Gray Davis.

Appearing on CNN’s "Reliable Sources," Stewart, a former Los Angeles Times reporter, told host Howard Kurtz that the paper has still not covered stories of Gray Davis’ violent temper tantrums.

Stewart first broke the story of Davis’ Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde personality in 1997 writing for Los Angeles’ New Times. She claimed at least one female said Davis had physically assaulted her.

But Stewart made new claims on CNN Sunday.

"Last year, on election night, when [Davis] thought he was losing, he threw a violent fit in his hotel room in Century City,” Stewart said, adding, "It was well known among the media.”

Stewart said that during the fit, Davis reportedly attacked and destroyed the television set in the hotel suite.

Stewart said she was informed about the incident by a Times reporter who called her.

"I was an unemployed free-lance journalist at the time, and asked me to take a look at it because they weren't about to. It was widely broadcast in the Bay Area,” she said.

Doyle McManus, an editor from Los Angeles Times, said the paper had looked into the story but found nothing.

McManus defended the paper’s coverage of Arnold Schwarzenegger and its reports that sought to influence the recall election during the closing days of the campaign.

Stewart noted that the paper was quick to assign two teams of reporters to investigate Schwarzenegger but did not do so with Davis.

Stewart said: "We all know in California that Gray Davis has had many allegations of improper behavior, violence against his staff, violent fits. I have written about it. It's been broadcast in the San Francisco Bay Area a number of times. It's been on radio talk shows."
