Because they have made a ton of money off of them. The "achilles heel" of the Administration.

The Saudis are equal-opportunity donors. You'll see lots of cash spread on both wings of US politics. It will be interesting to see what effect the possibility that Wilson (and therefore Plame) probably enjoyed Saudi largesse has on the affair.

The "achilles heel" of the Administration

Nice call and gutsy, too, given your extreme list to starboard...

ActualIy, I agree with Bush's action in withdrawing US troops from SA. I think it is a positive move that will actually help take some of the toxin out of militant Islam.

(I could have described it as a smokescreen designed to hide the Bush family's crony connections, but, as a nod to online community --- and because I'm positively packed with schadenfreude over the fact that the world now knows Rush is a gas-filled, lying hypocrite --- I'll make this my contribution to civil discourse.)

I think GWB would take an undeserved public opinion beating if it were well-known, that he is in essence fulfilling Osama's chief demand: wanting US troops off of Islam's holiest ground.

Ironic, that probably the most effective thing Bush has done to reduce terrorisism, he cannot tout as an achievement...
