If Kerry had his way, the Iraq quagmire would not exist, we'd be 200 billion richer, thousands of lives would have been saved and Saddam would be either out or in a tight box waiting to be taken out with a UN-backed coalition sharing the costs of the war with us. By now we know, there was no need for a rush to war. However, it was fine to threaten Saddam with real military might at his borders until everything was prepared to go in after him. Kerry was 100% right a year ago and is still 100% right.
