Kerry stated, upon voting, that he would hold Bush's feet to the fire to make sure he upheld his promise to go the UN route and to make sure we win the peace not just the invasion. He also said "we should never go to war because we want to, only because we have to". You left that key part out. Kerry supported being very tough on Saddam, but not invading unilaterally with no post-war plan. That he was clearly again and said it again and again prior to the war build-up.

Kerry assertion of fraud is a lie, a cockroach lie. Yes in this statement kerry is 100% correct and shows the compelling kerry current lie. "We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction. ... [W]ithout question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime. ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation. And now he has continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction. ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real. ..."
