Welllllll, there's a difference between standing someone up and throwing behind their earflap, don'tcha think? There's a difference between "throwing at someone", "standing them up" and "head-hunting" too.

Yeah, Clemens pitch was bait... but really, it showed restraint on some level. <g> The take out slide, in my experience (anecdotal... your favorite kind!), almost never negates the opposing pitcher's retaliatory pitch.

I actually thought John Henry was very well spoken on all of this. Not that it'll help in the long run, but at least someone on the Sox was stand-up about it all.
