*OT* (Gibson) Really? Here's just one quote from an ex-major leaguer (don't know who) on a Gibson fan site:

"It didn't make any difference to Bob that it was a spring training game when the Pirates' Frank Traveras beat out a two-strike bunt. On his next at-bat, Bob hit him with a fastball".

That sounds worse than Pedro to me...at least Pedro was heat of the battle (not calculating for next at bat DURING SPRING TRAINING)....also, Pedro was missing all day, so I am not so convinced WHERE he was trying to hit Garcia (or maybe he THOUGHT, "I've been missing so I'm likely to miss the dude anyway" g,ng

As far as Zimmer, if you (Zimmer) can't hang with the boys, including starting a fight, you should retire. He went looking for Pedro, tried to hit 'em...he GOT to know better, and is a man, and is responsible for own actions at any age. (not that I don't find Zimmer loveable too on some level). Maybe Pedro coulda handled that better, but Zimmer was the instigator...
