I view this rally as a cyclical bull move in a longer term secular bear. I hear the arguments on both sides, bull and bear and I tend to think the the excesses where not completely washed out, consumer debt levels are still at all time highs, even after the refi boom, which the average person did not use to shore up their balance sheet, but to get even more leveraged.

Having said that, I am 50% long, all in semis and 50% cash here. I realize the momo is going to carry us well past 2000, TA is pointing to 2350 or thereabouts, so I am going to ride the long side for that move and the volatility is in the semis, that that is where I'm at.

My argument is that this is not a new Bull to last for years and the semi recovery will not be as strong or as long as prior cycles, so I think a lot of people are getting "Psych-Out" on the expected staying power on this cycle.
