In the same group with abused apostrophes and misused quotation marks is the "absent participle ending". Some of the ones I see in the grocery store always produce a smile, such as:

CAN VEGETABLES

Comma misplacement:

I used to think the song was "God Rest Ye, Merry Gentlemen," which makes it sound as if they don't need much in the way of Rest; "Merry" as they already are.

What a dramatic blessing the actual title invokes: God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen.
