I suppose AS might be factually accurate when (s)he claims never to lie. When (s)he says "Bush makes Davis look fiscally conservative," (s)he believes that to be so, and is ignorant of the facts which rather powerfully demonstrate otherwise.

Ignorance of the facts makes a wilful distortion of the facts rather difficult. While ignorance is bliss, it isn't particularly credible as a political platform.

Since when did American Sprout have credibility? Remember, you can't lose what you never had!

I've wondered at times whether AS is even human, or merely a computer science class experiment - a web bot that is programmed to post and respond on topic, but hasn't been refined enough to be quite on point or deal with facts and subtleties in a logical way. Hence the repetition of the pre-programmed mantra, albeit from a large database of phrases and sentences. Her favorite: "Kerry will win and you will be happy when he is."

Wouldn't it be a brilliant accomplishment to program a bot to carry on political propagandizing across the web? We may have that very thing right here.

Of course, another possibility is that AS is Jessica Simpson.
