Intel Could Set This Market on Fire
Tuesday October 14, 3:40 pm ET

By James J. Cramer,

If Intel (NasdaqNM:INTC - News) reports a great number tonight, it could be a fulcrum day tomorrow. I'm seeing all the earmarks of it: People who were short going long, funds that had a negative bent sensing that they have to get positive. All in search of a catalyst.

Maybe Intel is that catalyst.

I can't believe how high the stakes are for the bears right here. If Intel reports a great number, the KLA-Tencor (NasdaqNM:KLAC - News)-Novellus (NasdaqNM:NVLS - News)-Cymer (NasdaqNM:CYMI - News) cohort will explode. The Texas Instruments (NYSE:TXN - News)-National Semiconductor (NYSE:NSM - News) cohort will explode.

At the time of publication, Cramer was long Intel and on his knees blowing Larry Kudlow. James J. Cramer is a director and co-founder of TheStreet.com. He contributes daily market commentary for TheStreet.com's sites and serves as an adviser to the company's CEO.
