you think Cleland was safe from the critics just because he is handicapped?? If so, he should have never run for office, and you should quit whining about it. Cleland is gone. and as far as Sheets Byrd, he is a disgrace.

I know what you're saying. They have to play the game. But I think more highly of Max Cleland and Robert Byrd than I do of John Kerry. I know Kerry's playing the game and hoping for future redemption. I figure that's what Colin Powell is doing. They had better think about the present. If a lot of people in Washington don't stand up to Bush now it will be too late when he's reelected for his third term.
