The idea #1 is to not have gone in the first place. The idea #2 is to remove those who did, so they don't do this sort of thing again. Idea #2 is far more important than #1 right now.

Well, a few people agree with you. But most don't. Most people of reasonable intellect understand the importance of what we've done in Iraq and how it will, for years to come, make the United States a safer place to be. At the same time, we have freed a nation, will be a catalyst for freedom in another (Iran), and frankly, have the Saudis thinking seriously about their own situation. All of which are great accomplishments.

It is just impossible to discuss this without contrasting the greatness of this administration with the incompetence of the Clinton administration. While Clinton took eight years to create multiple foreign policy crises, Bush has set in motion a process which will reshape the Middle East, bring about lasting peace and eliminate the threat of terrorism against the United States. There really is no comparison.

It is really difficult for me to discuss this material with you without questioning your intellect. I'm torn, because I think you are at least reasonably bright; but I can't understand why these concepts are so difficult for you to grasp. They aren't complex (in fact, are almost obvious) and the positive result is, frankly, not subject to question -- we are ALREADY seeing the positive outcome in Iraq in the form of an entire nation of Iraqis who have embraced our occupation.
