re:stop giving aid to Israel. Let the UN deal with it.

The aid does seem quite high relative to other nations we provide aid. Of course much of it comes back to us in weapons contracts, so I suppose it looks a lot like government assistance to weapons contractors too. Having worked in that industry, we always saw it as a nice way to keep the lines in production while we waited for the next big USA contract or to ramp down older product lines.

As for the UN taking over, they have created more resolutions against Israel than all other nations combined. Couldn't figure out what to do with Iraq after 13, what will they ever do with Israel and PLO. They won't put UN troops on the ground, they pass mandates on paper and nothing has happened. They have no power, no credibility as an honest broker and have no enforcement power. So I guess they are perfect to maintain the status quo. :-)
