We are rebuilding without too much trouble. The bombings are a nuisance and make for good headlines. I'll bet we have at least one or two killings in LA every day that go unreported unless it's part of a gun control effort.

The administration is doing its PR thing. However, I am not convinced. The stuff that is critical is still not there yet........electrical and water service and oil production.

You should know our media is drawn to flashy/bloody news not the mundane rebuilding effort. Don't get me wrong, the bombings are serious, but in the grand scheme it's not really news for that part of the world, is it?

Don't confuse Iraq and Israel for the entire ME. Its a big region. There are few bombs going off except in Iraq and Israel. Things may be better in Iraq than they sound but I doubt it.

I smell the manipulative arm of the conservatives in this latest news shift.........they are once again trying make anyone criticizing Iraq unAmerican. It worked once......I don't think it will work a second time.

Iraq is a hornet's nest. Short of killing all the bees, I don't think you will get this nest to settle down any time soon.
