The job in Iraq is far from done. It may not be done in 10 years. It may cost us a trillion dollars. It may make the Middle East LESS safe.

This was no victory. This is a quagmire hoping to be a solution someday The jury is out and the results are totally unclear. despite the Bushie PR offensive the bombings are getting worse not better.

Even if we bring about a half-decent Iraq in 5-10 years, was it worth it? I suggested taking out Saddam with a hit team and letting the chips fall. Or leaving him in power but castrating him by taking away all his sophisticated weaponry. After all, Saddam was a paper tiger and no real threat to us.

In any case, the war was a rushed job with no plan for the aftermath but naive optimism. This administration just doesn't do its homework. The troops are great but the White House is inept and dishonest.

The rest of the world and John Kerry were right on this one. And now many Republicans agree. Including Dick Lugar and Chuck Hagel, two of the smartest and most honest in the GOP. Dick Cheney is one of the most dishonest people ever to serve in an administration. He is just a callous ruthless SOB. Bush seems more like a tool of Cheney's.
