Eurex, the world's largest derivatives exchange, said on Tuesday it filed an antitrust lawsuit against the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (NYSE:CME - News) and Chicago Board of Trade (News - Websites) claiming the CME and CBOT were trying to block its entry into the U.S. market.

Later on Tuesday, in a huge setback for the exchange co-owned by Deutsche Boerse and the Swiss Stock Exchange, U.S. regulators took Eurex's application to establish a U.S. exchange off a 60-day "fast track" review. The move may mean the application is left to languish. Eurex filed on September 16. >>>>
