LB, The Air Commando Convention was terrific. Met Col Kittinger again. We had met in Berlin in 1966 and we both recalled the encounter. You know how it goes...Back then he was asking questions while I was standing at attention. K made the first parachute jump from over 100,000' in 1960. Lots of Nam Vets...spoke with many who were in the same AO at the same time. Air Commandos have always been one of Special Forces best weapons. I was invited to speak at the general membership meeting. I also got to tour some of their warehouses and see their humanitarian effort up close. These former Special Ops guys collect and ship tens of $ millions worth of humanitarian goods world-wide every year. The entire operation is manned with volunteers. I left towing a U-Haul filled with 500 blankets and several hundred coats and sweaters for the Montagnard refugees.
