Fred, good response. I don't want to sound crass about
the plight of 3rd world countries social issues, but we
cannot change their culture or society by exporting our
jobs and manufacturing to them, that is an internal issue
that will likely never be rectified. If we are to remain
a dominant global leader it is imperative that our manufacturing base remain strong. We cannot fix the
problems of the world, and losing our core strengh
diminishes our ability to be self sustaining. It is my
contention (using an analogy) that an "organism" is most efficient when its' life functions are controlled
internally. Economic growth requires manufactuing
capacity, innovation and expanding markets.... I will
end my commentary on this political and economic issue
because we are straying from the topic of the board. BB

Fred,

I don't know how many of you know this, but Brian has been active in developing a school in India as a way of helping.

That has been on hold as the past three years have been difficult ones, as I probably do not need to say to anyone invested in semis.
