If George Bush had been president when Pearl Harbor occurred, we would have attacked Japan, then declared war on China or some other random country. These right wingnuts would, in another time and place, have made damn good Nazis. I'm sure they could have found rationalizations for the camps, after all, how could their great leader be wrong? Hitler had more press conferences that Bush has stood up for (6 in 3 years?). What's he afraid of? His minions spout differing policy directions on the same day to different crowds.
